Dye-sublimation allows you to print photo quality pictures as well as indefinite number of colors without the cost that standard screen printing would entail.

Sublimation Printing is a printing process that uses heat to transfer dye onto a medium such as a polyester t-shirt or specially coated material. The Sublimation Printer prints these dyes onto a specialty paper. Once the paper is printed with the dye, the paper is placed on the garment being sublimated and a heat press is used to transfer the dye onto the material. The sublimation name is applied because the dye transitions between the solid and gas states without going through a liquid stage as a reaction to the heat from the press.

The material is actually re-dyed and the color becomes a part of the item. For this reason, dye sublimation is an excellent printing technique to use for printed items that you want to look good for a long time.
